Sleepy Hollow Acres Rescue for Animals (SHARA) is a private, no-kill rescue for chickens, ducks, rabbits, game birds, goats, and other small livestock located in Northeast Pennsylvania in the Poconos. Since 2020, SHARA has positively impacted over 160+ animals’ lives, partnering with private and public rescue operations including New York City Animal Care Centers (NYCACC) through its New Hope Program. As of September 2024, SHARA joined the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative. SHARA also receives grant funding through the Petfinder Foundation. ***Please note that we do not support dog and cat rescue.
