Ashe Humane Society is private all-volunteer rescue that is foster-based and does NOT have a shelter. Call Ashe County Animal Control for lost pet; a stray animal that you found; and report animal abuse or neglect since they have law enforcement powers. We do not have our own medical facility but do financially support the Ashe County Community Spay and Neuter Monthly Transport (run by Ashe County Animal Control). When we have room in our foster homes we save at-risk cats and kittens (and occasionally dogs) from Ashe County Animal Control only in order to prevent their euthanasia. We have started a Trap-Neuter-Return Program for feral and community cats to support citizens with neighborhood ferals. Contact: ashehumanesocietync@gmail.com
