The Legendary Mustang Sanctuary is located in Alhambra, Illinois and is a non-profit organization that began in 2008. The Sanctuary operations are staffed with 100% volunteer hours and are always looking for new members to join our team. We rely wholly on donations to support the care of these great legendary horses and burros. The Legendary Mustang Sanctuary mission is to rescue as many of the wild mustang horses and burros as we possibly can for the size of our facilities. The Sanctuary obtains these wild animals, and we gentle them by healing the sick and abused, restoring the natural spirit, and winning their confidence and trust. Then we begin the training process.
